November 9, 2023 – The kick-off meeting of the SULPHURREAL project in Cologne laid the basis for the future collaboration of the project participants. SULPHURREAL is funded by the EU’s EIC Pathfinder Programme, which is designed to support deep-tech projects with a high level of scientific and technological ambition and risk (TRL 1-4).  

Participants of the meeting where representatives from all the organisations involved in SULPHURREAL as well as the responsible EIC project officer . The project coordinators Christos Agrafiotis and Dimitrios Dimitrakis from DLR introduced to the project and presented the structure and milestones for the next three years. Nikolaus Stergiannis, Project Officer at the European Innovation Council EIC, then outlined the EIC Pathfinder programme and its requirements for the project. 
All project participants presented their organisations, their infrastructure available to them and their respective work packages. 

The last part of the meeting was dedicated to an intensive technical exchange.
